Why Medium & Dark Roast?
Some distillers rely on espresso beans, but they often leave an overly bitter edge, leading to unnecessary sweetening after distillation. We wanted something more balanced. That’s why we chose custom-roasted Andean and Colombian beans—a medium and a dark roast—to naturally enhance the chocolatey, caramel, and nutty notes, delivering an authentic coffee whisky experience without excess sweetness.
Sourcing with Purpose
Quality and integrity go hand in hand for us. Level Ground Coffee, led by CEO Stacey Toews, is committed to ethical sourcing, ensuring farmers receive fair wages while producing some of the best coffee beans in the world. By partnering with them, we guarantee that our Cold Brew Coffee Whisky isn’t just delicious—it’s made with care and responsibility.
But we didn’t stop with just great coffee. Our whisky is crafted from Canadian locally grown grains at Saanichton Farms. Every step of our process, from grain to bottle, happens right here in North Saanich, ensuring we stay true to our local roots.
